The Medical Assistant performs a wide variety of patient care activities rendering quality patient care to patients of all ages in accordance with standards of practice appropriate to the training and abilities of a medical assistant. Straub cares for and comforts patients throughout the state at both the hospital and clinic locations. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: A graduate of a medical assistant program, or equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Current BLS/HCP card. Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant through the AAMA. Six months medical assistant experience. Knowledge of CPT / ICD-9 Coding. Experience with online medical software systems.
