Bio-Medical Equipment Technician
Job Description:
Biomeds are involved in the total management of healthcare technology beyond repairs and scheduled maintenance; such as, project management, designing interfaces and integrating medical systems, training end-users to utilize medical and dental technology, and evaluating new devices for acquisition. BMETs educate and advise staff and other agencies on theory of operation, physiological principles, and safe clinical application of biomedical equipment.
BMET is also responsible for maintaining the facility's patient care and medical/dental staff equipment. Technicians must have at least five years of experience in the areas of exam and diagnostic equipment. Products range from autoclaves, dental chairs, medical devices to hospital stretcher beds.
Requirements:
At least five years experience
Travel a must
Education:
Two year degree in Electronic/ BioMed Engineering or Military Experience
Compensation:
$37.63 per hour plus DOE
