Description:
CACI has a new, full:time position available for a Lead Microwave Technician to join our experienced team serving the Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS). The team is responsible for the installation and maintenance of PTP and PTMP wireless and security camera systems connecting over 250 BWS sites throughout Oahu.
Must provide own truck and small tools. Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license. Mileage is reimbursed.
Must currently live in Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Lead Engineer on microwave and security camera projects and maintenance.
Design and implement work plans for customized wireless and security camera installations.
Assist with daily team assignments to balance work requirements.
Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures or service issues.
Assist in all service / system upgrades and other improvements as a team leader.
Prepare required documentation.
Install, configure and test PTP and PTMP wireless systems. This work shall include installing poles, antenna mounts; installing and aligning antennas; installing and terminating wiring; installing wireless hardware, interface modules and power supplies; and configuring and testing systems.
Install, configure and test Optex Wireless Systems.
Install and maintain Mobotix Security Camera Systems.
Develop or assist in the development of standards for service and equipment.
Perform or assist in the analysis in determining business process improvements related to the wireless and camera security network systems.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have at least seven years of experience installing and maintaining PTP and PTMP Microwave wireless systems.
At least three years of experience as a Team Lead performing wireless installation and maintenance work.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or other formal training in related field.
Experience troubleshooting and providing diagnostic support related to performance and problem solving for microwave systems.
Experience installing, configuring, and testing Dragonwave, Cambium (Motorola) systems.
Experience installing, configuring and testing Optex Wireless Systems.
Experience installing, configuring and testing Mobotix security camera systems.
Tower Climbing training certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires frequent lifting and working at heights on ladders, roof tops and towers. Ability to work with hand tools in a variety of environments from large mechanical yards to remote locations. Also, requires use of computer and office related duties, completing reports and conducting online analysis of network systems.
